CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions Joins Employers and Financial Institutions Nationwide to Participate in National Retirement Security Week

Some 6,000 Retirement Plan Sponsors Invited to Deliver National Education Campaign to Over 300,000 Plan Participants.

MADISON, Wis. – As part of National Retirement Security Week, scheduled for the week of Oct. 21, CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions will provide plan participants with a set of tools to help them reflect on their personal savings journeys and make sure they are on target to reach their retirement goals. 2018 marks the sixth year CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions has participated in this national initiative.

The theme for this year’s program is “Your Whole Story.” This visually rich and engaging campaign invites the employees to think about their own financial journey and provokes a realization of the importance of saving. Educational material, customized from national initiative assets, includes a Savings Notebook, a brief video, and age-based savings tips (Under 35, 35/50, 50+). These straight-forward communications encourage employees to put away a little more for retirement.

CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions is promoting this campaign to over 6,000 sponsors of defined contribution retirement plans across the country, including small and medium-sized business and credit union clients. Employer resource kits include participant education assets, along with a Workplace Poster and a message to share directly with employees.

“National Retirement Security Week presents a great opportunity to encourage active planning, which is one of the keys to retirement savings success,” said Jennifer Norr, CUNA Mutual Group vice president of consumer experience marketing. “The type of self-assessments we’re promoting enable participants to examine where they are on their life-long financial journeys.  These simple measurements go a long way to helping people see where small changes can make a big impact down the road.”
